چکیده

Mucins are cell bound high molecular weight glycoproteins which secreted by epithelial cells. Total 21 mucin variants identified till date. Mucin1 (MUC1) is a transmembrane glycoprotein, when reacts with beta-catenin, can able to enter the nucleus activate T-cell factor/leukocyte enhancing factor 1 transcription factors and gene expression, after it may inhibit cell-cell cell-stroma interactions function as signal transducer, leading tumor progression. To compare correlate expression positive intensity of MUC1 in oral squamous carcinoma, dysplasia normal mucosa using Immunohistochemistry. This study included total 45 cases groups carcinoma (n=15), (n=15) control analysed for anti rabbit monoclonal antibody immunohistochemical technique. The mucin1 cells were follows, 53.3% OSCC, 13.3% OED none showed positivity mucosa. results obtained statistically Kruskal-Wallis test there was significant difference score between different tissue groups, Kruskal – Wallis H = 13.034, p 0.001. There progressive increase from OSCC. utterance might be due suppression inhibitory proteins immunoexpression mature atypical well proposed act both an anti-adhesive adhesive molecule.

The Cancer Stem Cell Hypothesis in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma: A New Target for the Treatment

Within a single tumor clone, cells have significantly different abilities to proliferate and form new tumors. This has led to the hypothesis that most cells in a cancer have a limited ability to divide and only a small subset of distinct cells, the cancer stem cells (CSCs), has the capacity to self-renew and form new tumors . It has been proposed that the development of tumors is based exclusiv...

Tissue eosinophilia in oral and cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma and normal oral and cutaneous tissues

Introduction: Eosinophils produce proteases that stimulate invasion in cancers. Due to the more malignant potential of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) compared to cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (CSCC), the aim of the present study was to compare tissue eosinophilia between OSCC and CSCC samples to understand whether tissue eosinophilia play a role in different biological...

CircRNA_0109291 regulates cell growth and migration in oral squamous cell carcinoma and its clinical significance

Objective(s): Circular RNAs (circRNAs), a new class of non-coding RNAs, have emerged as important regulators during tumorigenesis. However, the functions of circRNAs have not been completely clarified in the progression of cancers. In our study, a novel circRNA hsa_circ_0109291 was investigated in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) tissues and cell lines. Materials and Methods: The expression ...

Immunohistochemical Evaluation of Fascin in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Background and purpose: Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is the eighth most common cancer in men and the fifteenth in women. Localized recurrence and metastasis to regional lymph nodes are major problems in these patients. Fascin is a 55- kDa protein from the family of actin-binding proteins that is expressed in cells with membranous bronchial tubes. The aim of this study was to evaluate the expre...
